Simple gestures of happiness.

I'm on a mission to paying it forward in happiness.
Simple gestures that can make my friends, and families' day.
Simple gestures that can make a stranger's day.
A simple smile to brighten someone's heart. <3

This morning I left notes to my brother, dad, and mom wishing them a great day.
Note to my mom: GOOD MORNING MOMMA! HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY AT WORK <3
She replies with this: YOU KNOW HOW TO MAKE MY DAY. YOU READ MY MIND. My first client at work, I hate working on her. Love, mom.
This then made my day knowing I could make someone else a little happier.

So take the time to send a simple text to an old friend. Always helpful to make them smile and know you still remember them after all this time.

So take that time to hold that door open.
So take the time to pick up litter on the street.
Take that time to help an old lady cross the street.
Take the time to listen to your friends.
Take the time to let someone else go in front of you in line.
Start a conversation with a stranger even if it's a "Wow, it looks like it's going to rain soon."
Start a simple chit chat "I really like your shoes, or shirt, or hair, or glasses... " Because you always gets an "AW thanks!" and a SMILE, guarantee!! [They were probably feeling ugly that day]
If someone drops their crap help them up with it.
Give up your sit on a subway, or bus to someone that really looks like they could use the seat.
Take that time to be patience during an impatient time.
Take the time to ask someone if they needed help with anything
Take the time to say hi to the people at work you always see around but never say anything to them
Make a new friend.
Help new people fit in to the city, work place, school, etc etc.
say hola to your mailman
say hola to your neighbors
the list goes on and on.. do something that fits you

I'm sure when you help someone else and they say thanks.
They'll do the same for someone else
and even they don't do it right away they'll soon realize
So say your pleases, your thank yous, your sorrys, your excuse me's...
Give out your smiles, your simple gestures, and give a piece of your true, humble, down to earth, heart out.
Everyone has problems, drama, emotions are either high or really low.

Don't know where to start.
Start with the people you live with.
Leave a 'Have a great day!' note somewhere, make breakfast or lunch for them to take to work.
Ask them about their day

If it's raining text them a stay dry text. If it's a beautiful day, text isn't it such a beautiful day today.
Continue to clean up after them, they'll realize soon enough, deep down they truly love you as a friend.
Out of milk?, go buy more to replace it, for them.

Have crappy roommates?
Start with the people at work. Thank someone that helped you that week, or that day. Help someone else. Smile at a stranger on a way to work.

Going out? Ask the waiter "How are you?" Smile, make eye contact and show you're really listening, maybe they've had a hard day at work, maybe it was already the best day for them and you just made it all that much better.
Tell you're friends you truly care about them even if things are rough and the busy life has gotten to everyone.

Finally take out the time to appreciate your own life. Appreciate the people that have been there for you. Appreciate those who listen. Appreciate those who care. Appreciate those people that laugh with you, cry with you, sit next to you, appreciate the small things in life.
Appreciate those lessons you've learned in past friendships and relationships that have made you a better person.
We can't change the world right away, but just take one step at a time in doing so.
This can humble our hearts, and the people around us to make the world a little bit better of a place for you.
So be still calm. Slow to anger. And be kind.

True beauty comes from within.
