Diversity

Thank you for reading my blog. I appreciate all the words of encouragement. I didn't think anyone would read this or even take out the time to. So again thank you!

Diverse:
  • many and different; or distinctly dissimilar or unlike
Serving God and living faithfully can become a constant guilt trip of "trying harder" and "doing better next time." As I'm starting to get back into living a life that is worthy of God rather than living a comfortable life, I've come to realize that people I've surrounded myself with are so much more "GODLY" than I. I love hearing stories and I'm a great listener, supporter, and encourager. But at the same time I'm inspired to do more. I'm at a point in life where "DO MORE" is my new slogan. To do more for God, do more of my friends, do more for my family, my job, school, church, and volleyball.
There may be a quick feeling of being blue because my life for God is not as theirs. BUT! A friend quickly helped me realize, God has a plan for us and it's just not in His plan for me to have a plan like theirs. He has a specific plan for each one of us. Also not only that but we are all so different. Each one of us are unique and His visions, His goal, His path for me and you will be diverse. Look at the disciples some were fishermen, tax collectors, some listened, some doubted, some even denied God. But they all continued to follow Jesus in the end. We are all different people with different spiritual levels, we do not have the same intimate relationship with God. God is IN me and IN you. It's not having the list of accomplishments of what you've done in life, but at the same time it's WHO YOU ARE than what you've done. "WHO DO YOU WANT ME TO LOVE FOR YOU TODAY?" is a great question to wake up to each morning. Whose life will you impact today, tomorrow, this second?

I pray that we disregard comparing ourselves to others. Others who are more spiritual or who are more charismatic. But be joyful with the way God has created us. And praise Him for His creation of you, creation of me, we are prefect in His eyes. He loves us. And make sure we are asking God to use us for His will. I pray no matter spiritual high or low we are, we are all here to encourage one another to grow, to listen to one another to support, to pray with one another on a deeper level, and to fellowship with one another in the uttermost happiness. We are all one body of Christ with different views, different plans, different lives. Some are to help with kids, homeless, to evangelize, to go overseas, to change the Spirit of your own church, or to stay local in your community. I pray we be filled with the Holy Spirit while doing His will to glorify Him and be LED by the Spirit as well. Thank you God for what You've provided in our lives. I thank you for your grace, your mercy, and your forgiveness. I thank you for all the blessings you pour out on me each second of life.
